Germia Park is a protected natural area covering 62 square kilometers of pristine forest on the eastern edge of Prishtina. Declared a protected zone in 1987, this ancient oak forest serves as the city's green lung and a year-round recreational paradise for locals and visitors alike .
The park features over 50 kilometers of marked hiking trails, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, adventure park, picnic areas, and mountain springs. In summer, the massive pool becomes the city's social hub, while winter transforms the snow-covered pines into a serene wonderland for walks .
