Medieval Masterpiece

Built in the 13th century, this monastery complex features four interconnected churches with some of the finest medieval frescoes in the Balkans. It was the seat of the Serbian Patriarchate and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

The frescoes date from 1260 and depict biblical scenes, Serbian rulers, and archbishops. Located 2 km from Peja center, it's surrounded by peaceful stone walls .
